Dave lived in England for 56 years, retired, moved to Thailand 2006, has been interested in gardening since childhood, but had no sizeable garden for years (lived in London). At one time worked as a full-time gardener and afterwards studied Landscape Construction at Merristwood College in Worplesdon, Surrey, but then came to his senses in 1971 (Old gardeners (at least English ones) were crippled with athritis, backache and grumpy through working in all weather conditions!)
