I started gardening in order to tame our rural property. Landscaping was the priority but I quickly developed a love of perennials. Now, many years later I'd have to describe myself as a plant lover with collector tendencies. I find it challenging to find a balance between my love of composition (colour, texture, grouping) and my love of collecting plants (where I could end up with one of everything). I'm especially fond of hostas, daylilies and heucheras.
