I have been gardening ever since I can remember. I grew up in Southern California so as a kid gardened year around. In college I studied Agronomy getting a BS (Brigham Young University), MS (North Dakota State University) and Ph.D (Texas A&M University). For the last decade I have worked in research & development for a crop protection company where I research conventional and organic products to help control insects, plant diseases and weeds in agronomic crops, fruits, vegetables, turf, and ornamentals. I am also an avid gardener of vegetables, fruit trees, and small fruit and have experience growing plants from CA to FL, WA to TX and ND to PA. With all the education and experience there is still so much to learn. That is what I love about gardening. Each year I try new things, grow new things, and learn new things. And much of what I learn is from fellow gardening enthusiasts and their experiences...so thanks!
