Gardening is a new hobby for me and I'm loving it. Most of my fun will have to take place in the summer when I'm off of work. That means getting up early to beat the heat or letting DH and the kids fend for themselves at dinnertime, lol! We have about an acre of desert and so far I've started in on the front yard, the pool area, the desert just outside of the pool area, and a bit of my neighbor's yard. I plan on getting wonderfully inspired and tackling the front courtyard during my next break from teaching. We'll see! I'm into low maintenance plants and I rely on DH's drip system. I'm also pretty restricted by huge colonies of round-tailed ground squirrels and cottontail rabbits. Luckily I haven't had any problems with Euphorbia sap so I'm focusing more and more on them! Funny how poisonous plants look more attractive to me lately... OK, well... feel free to email me! Particularly if you have a favorite succulent or other desert plant that's critter-proof!
