I bought this plant in Tucson, Arizona ...Read Moreand it has done well here in the Las Vegas/ Henderson area. It has grown a foot in two years. It usually blooms in April to late June, but in 2004 this particular plant of mine blooms periodically from early May to October! The flowers are best when they occur in late spring. Summer blooms tend to be scortched by the intense sun in the desert. I water this plant once a week in the summer and once or twice a month in spring and fall. I don't water at all from November to the end of February. The water from rain storms is more than enough in the winter. I use any low nitrogen liquid fertilizer once a month during the growing season. The fertilizer is diluted to half or a third of what the label recommends and the first application is in March. Truly a wonderful landscaping plant.
