This is our official state insect and rightfully so. They are EVERYWHERE!! No complaints though. They eat the small bugs that do big damage to our plants. In mid-autumn you can see swarms of them on the sides of buildings. I'm told they're congregating and climbing between the siding to hibernate. I've also heard it's good luck to have one land on you.
